Upper West regional Communication Director for the ruling NPP, Bukari Ali, has called on Ghanaians to embrace peace ahead the 2020 Election.
The hugely revered communication icon cited the supremacy of peace on Ghanaian soil over any political colonization as the need to rally behind it heading into the volatile Election peak period.
With exactly 85 days to the General Election, Ali Bukari called on Ghanaian to use their ballot rights as against the injurious bullets to decide when voting comes.
Speaking to Northern Lens ahead of the much anticipated showdown on December 7, Bukari Ali opted for collective responsibilities in maintaining the peaceful existence Ghanaians are enjoying now.
“Election must not be seen as a do or die affair. Lives must not be lost just because of a day’s exercise. It is the ballot and not the avoidable bullets. We can always avoid the bullets and this must be preached across all political platforms. At the end of the day we have only one Ghana before any party colorization. The theme from now must be peace, ballot and other such sermons from our political overlords”, Bukari told Northern Lens.
The Electoral commission of Ghana registered close to 17 million voters ahead of the December General Election.
Former President, HE John Dramani Mahama, will come face to face with HE Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo on the Presidential ballot when Ghanaians head to the poll in 85 days time.
